HIV Aids
Managed a project for UNAIDS as part of Metamorphosis Films Junction team which highlighted and showcased the achievements of the Joint UN Initiative for the North East of India. Also researched and scripted a short film on the initiative.
Health and Hygiene
As part of Metamorphosis Films Junction team scripted and researched a film for UNICEF Jaipur on WASH initiatives in schools in Rajasthan. The film showcased success stories and best practices, showed how WASH in schools promotes gender equality and featured inspiring stories of students as agents of change in their communities.
Conservation
As part of the Metamorphosis Films Junction team directed a film for the Secure Himalayas UNDP Project on wildlife conservation and sustainable livelihood alternatives. It showcased positive initiatives of Sikkim forest department engaging with previous offenders and training them to become Himal Rakshaks entrusted with patrolling the forest and help safeguard its flora and fauna.
Science and Technology
As part of the team at Small Screen directed a film for Genpact that looks at Process Mining at work in digital transformation.
Disaster Management & Rehabilitation
As part of Wide Angle Films directed nine five-minute films for the World Bank on documenting social development best practices in disaster risk management projects in India.
Children and youth
Directed a film for Our Better World/Singapore International Foundation on an NGO, Cochlea Pune for Hearing and Speech. The organisation helps to rehabilitate children with hearing impairment, empowering them to fulfil their dreams.
Was part of the Bachpan Bachao Andolan team that successfully launched and executed a month and a half long social media campaign on Child Sexual Abuse.
Wrote and researched, a 20-minute film on mentally challenged children & youth in Pune, India.
Drug Addiction & Rehabilitation
As part of research and recce of a film on the drug issue in Punjab visited rehabilitation centers, villages in Punjab, spoke with Medical representatives and councilors, interacted with various stakeholders to get a better understanding of the issue.
Livelihood
Directed a film for Our Better World/Singapore International Foundation on a Delhi based NGO Azad. They help women from impoverished backgrounds become financially independent through non-traditional livelihood options. The film follows women who are training to become drivers along with learning self-defense and English speaking skills.
Wrote the script for the film on NGO ANT’s 25-year journey. The narrative showcases a tale of persistence and consistency, where through various initiatives the NGO is bringing change to the remotest of villages and people in the North Eastern parts of India.
Directed a film on Café Positive, a Kolkata based establishment that aims to address the stigma faced by people living with HIV and the lack of employment opportunities available to them.
Wildlife
As part of the Secure Himalaya UNDP Project did a film for Metamorphosis Films Junction team that documented good practices of the forest department in Sikkim, looked at the human-wildlife conflict issues, showcased alternate livelihood options so that there is reduced dependence on the forest.
Directed the India story of an International wildlife series for Singapore International Foundation. The other episodes in the Human Wildlife Conflict series were from Singapore and Thailand.
Directed a feature-length documentary for PSBT India set in Varanasi. Hidden within the intricate cobwebs of the narrow alleys of the city are stories of the women in the film. They are all working in professions supposedly meant for men. Through their struggles and life choices, they continue to evolve, bettering the socio-cultural and political spaces they find themselves in. This is a journey with them as they push forward towards positive change.
Asking for help is not a sign of weakness. It takes courage to decide to speak up, to take a stand. Through the story of a victim of domestic abuse , the idea is to not just bring focus to the issue, cases of which increased exponentially during the lockdown world over, but also give a sense of hope that relief is out there.
Directed a film for Our Better World/Singapore International Foundation on a Delhi based NGO Kat-Katha. In a mission to bring back dignity to sex workers, Kat-Katha has created a safe space for them to step forward towards independence.
As part of Dusty Foot Production team worked on a GEF funded GOI UNDP project to develop a Communication Strategy and Communication Tools for the mainstreaming of the preservation & conservation of medicinal plants in Chhattisgarh, India. This involved working extensively with local communities at the grassroots level.
Wrote the script for Safe Harvest Brand film made by Dusty Foot Productions. Film talked of Non- Pesticide Management (NPM), an alternative agriculture approach that aims at strengthening the inherent ability of the crops and crop ecosystem to manage the damage by pests and diseases.
Education
Directed a CSR film for Small Screen that shows how the partnership between Genpact & Teach for India helped make teach for India’s impact deeper as an organization and accelerated for the students.
Researched & Directed a Pitch video for Balaknama, the world’s first ever newspaper run for & by street children of India.
